Conecting the Dots..

We are all interconnected through energy, and I believe that truly understanding ourselves begins with understanding others. By connecting and working through that shared energy, we can gain deeper insight into who we are and who we want to become.

As a UX designer, I sought to research the realm of creativity and art, focusing on colors and human behavior. I delved into classic visual arts, performance arts, and studied various artists and their perspectives on creativity and more.

Today, as I began reading a small book that fits in the palm of my hand titled "Abramovic-Isms", tears filled my eyes.

The words on the pages and the vivid images in my mind revealed the deep transcendental experience that Marina Abramović has shared with the world.

Learning about her story, her understanding of thingsand the depth behind her performance art, transformed her from an artist into someone far beyond inspiration.

She has become a symbol of strength, resilience, and a transcendental connection to the human experience.

Some quotes from her book that stuck with me:

"Many think that my work is easier now , by cutting oneself is actually not so difficult. There is only a bit of blood. On the other hand, penetrating into this unknown ocean that is the mind, coming into contact with unconscious is really difficult"
ree
"My art is to confront pain by taking risks, in order to liberate yourself from fear and, at the same time, to enter another state of consciousness."

Her profound work in Rhythm 0, The work involved Abramović standing still while the audience was invited to do to her whatever they wished, using one of 72 objects she had placed on a table. These included a rose, feather, perfume, honey, bread, grapes, wine, scissors, a scalpel, nails, a metal bar, a gun, and a bullet. She said in the book, that this provoked a wild reaction. I was just an Object- It was amazing!

Here lies the insight into her work: She is art herself. ❤️‍🩹

Whether you’re itching to geek out over UX psychology, brainstorm a project that balances spicy user needs with a pinch of humor, or just debate why “medium spicy” is a myth, I’m all ears (and a fully stocked spice rack). Bonus points if you want to swap gym playlists or argue about Romanian deadlift form over a plate of actually spicy curry.
